Orthopedic Special Tests
Purpose: To detect pathology in the musculoskeletal system.
Procedure: Varies per special test selected.
Normal Result: Performance of the test is usually associated with no ligamentous laxity, pain upon performance, or joint instability.
Abnormal Result: Ligamentous laxity, pain provoked, or joint instability found with the performance of the test.
